    the one on the right above appeared to have tape residue on it。 so used a q~tip and MS70.

    Were the East India Company ones issued at the same time as the India Rupees? Is there some significance to the dots under the denomination?

    yes there were many variations especially the 1862 and 1840 there's a website listed for them

    well I got the 1840 Rupee back from PCGS and the 1835 Rupee is just sent off.
