[QUOTE="britannia40, post: 2167475, member: 74818 View attachment 417955 Due to the cost and rarity of nice gothic Florins I decided to take up the gothic design British India rupee's as they are easier to obtain in great or MS condition and much easier on the pocket book. I was amazed how many varieties there are especially the 1840 and 1862 rupee. I was able to pick up the 1862-1891 for 20$ each so worked out well. The 1840's were a little bit more. chris[/QUOTE] Were the East India Company ones issued at the same time as the India Rupees? Is there some significance to the dots under the denomination?

Don't really focus on Brittish India, but have some. Bit of a weak strike, but nice details Victoria Rupee:
well I got the 1840 Rupee back from PCGS and the 1835 Rupee is just sent off. I did buy a NCG one already slabbed.
