Is there anything special with these type of bills?

The * (star) indicates it’s a replacement note. Typically, less than 2% of all notes printed are replacement notes and some people like collecting them. Star notes are used to replace defective and/or damaged notes during the printing process.

The OP’s note was printed in July 2018.

Awesome. Thank you for the information about this bill. Amazing that less than 2% bills are this type. I was just going to spend it but guess I’ll hold onto it for a little while.
