I think I've told the story before about a teller who told me she had $3200 in sequential star notes. I rushed home for cash and roared back across town. When I got there I was very disappointed when I found out they were $100 bills, not $1 Star Notes. I did sell at a small premium, but not much.
I've seen older star notes that are interesting but seem not to be a climber in value. I stopped collecting them but do pass them on to my granddaughters. Enjoyed your post thank you.
Unless that’s from a a very low run the value over face would be minimal I have several 1957 $1 Silver certs all gem and all stars and the value is only $15 to $20 on a good day…LOL Just because it’s a Star note doesn’t mean a automatic home run..LOL
I save them all no matter of condition. I have many. Many are unc, that bank tellers save for me, or call and tell me.
