Yeah, with that kind of quality, I'm sure they should be considered top tier, don't you think? :D

I have to report that in defense of Aboncom, they refunded me for one auction and mutually agreed to nulify the other two that I won. I am sure that it was rather self serving as too many negative e-mails could ruin their little game but I feel refreshed to know that I didn't get ripped. That is as close to kudos as I will give a company of this nature.

I guess a back-handed compliment is better than nothing :D

I think that has already been done. I saw a coin for sale on Ebay in an ANACS holder with the "supersonic" attribution which meant, according to the seller, that the coin was verified as being carried on a fighter jet going Mach whatever. Actually, I think I might have posted a link to the auction previously. :D

When picking an Ebay seller to buy coins from, I would suggest that on top of checking out the feedback, look at what they are selling. This same logic can be applied to dealers. If you see them selling "trash" certified coins, move on. Regardless of how nice they appear, if someone is selling what we all know is junk, they are more concerned with profit than customers

They are a joke. I believe their record low grade is an MS68. I've been to their shop-they are not exactly customer friendly as you can tell by their feedback replies.

    SGS Help...please!

Currently I am bidding BIG money on a PF70 coin graded by SGS. Do they over grade? Is this a good service?

Well I do not know what coin you are bidding on, but I hope you lose. Typically SGS does over grade and is not looked on too nicely here. Of course if you point to the coin or auction someone here might be able to give you a prospective grade on the coin - me I can not tell the difference between PF69 and PF70.

What coin is it? Saw your thread, I was thinking it was a modern. I wouldn't pay big money for any coin in an SGS slab, unless I had it in hand.

    Phoenix

I hope you lose also. sgs is a self slabber and yes they overgrade for profit.

    Well,

You found this really old post so what do you think?

SGS sucks in my opinion and that is backed by TONS of others. If they offered a proof 70Ultra Deep Cam Morgan for a buck I'd pay it as long as sihipping didn't put me over melt.

    Retract your bid. NOW!
