    In my opinion, your coin appears to be a dateless type 2 quarter.

    Edit: If it were a dateless 1916, the rivets on the shield would be weak to non-existent. Not to mention Lady Liberty would be bare-breasted on a type 1 quarter.

    No stars under eagle on Type I quarters

    And a reasonable chance it's a 1917-1924 variety since the date is totally gone.
