Spot the authentic coin

    Yes google is great, however, it is or should be common sense to not cheat. Perhaps next time I should make it a little more clear.

    @ddddd was correct before the beans were spilled anyways, so he wins! All five were counterfeit. Congrats!

    I assumed that quarter was supposed to be 1924.

    From a first glance, only the Morgan stuck out as obviously fake. The other 4 coins looked close and may well have fooled me, especially the 1912 Gold.
    Great thread and now that the answers are revealed, people should take a look at the linked articles to learn more about the issues with these coins.

    I'm sorry if you felt it was rude, but one of the primary ways to look for counterfeits is to search out exemplars. I did wait until I was sure there was at least one correct guess.

    Personally, I think it's rude to run a "spot the authentic coin" contest without any authentic coin.
