Some unbelievable prices for those common date George V half rupees. It's surprising that how a slab label will inflate the price of a common coin.

btw one more stupid Q: if one has to get a coin in india certified/authenticated via these pro services, how is it done? And is it recommended?

 

yes ridiculous. just shows people have a lot of money and no brains and look at the grades assigned. idiotic al the way round.

BTW i have done alot of research and the modern proof coins from india are all hair lined. its ridiculous but what can we do. quality control is absent.

you have to first become a member of pcgs or ngc or ANA. so you get submission rights. then you can submit coins that will cost you about $20 wait a few weeks and you get it back. If you are looking to sell or have expensive coins its a smart thing to do. also if you plan to store coins int he coast of india it is essential otherwise you are just throwing money
