Split Planchet Shield Nickel

    A very nice split planchet on an older Nickel. From the reverse we can identify this as a Variety 2 and date it from 1867-1883.

    This is the obverse so no date. Typical of a split planchet.

    Here's a side view. You can see that the obverse is missing as it's thin and rough. Wish I had the other half like I go on my War Nickel.

    So is it only worth $.025 cent? Nice coin is that number three that you have now?
