I was asking for yall's opinions on if it is the spitting horse error variety.

Appears to be such if you say so. As for me, I've never heard of it. Enlighten me with citation.........

It is a early one, as there are some that are a bit bolder and reach all the way to the rim.

 

It doesn't look raised to me.

 

I have the one that you have. Where the line goes to the top of the A.
On other ones the line is extended all the way to the edge.
