Hey Guys, I have 3 questions: Is this what is called a spitting eagle. Is there a die chip on the top obverse and why the O in God looks like a Q?
Can someone tell me how to put a asking price on a coin. I don't want to request over or under asking price?
Why put an asking price? You probably got it for face value. Let the market establish a value. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Are you afraid that you'll get cheated? ~ Chris @l.cutler - See what I mean!
While the die breaks are cool, it's still considered a minor error. Experienced collectors are not usually interested in purchasing something like this, so that means there is really no baseline market. If I wanted to sell this coin and somebody offered me $1, I would take it and run. My recommendation is to put it in a 2x2 holder and keep it. You aren't going to get rich looking for errors in change, regardless of what the YouTube hacks say. If it was easy, all of the CT member would be sitting on a beach sipping rum drinks with umbrellas Hope this helps
Maybe i should not have put the question on this thread. I just wanted to know for future reference. As far as the spitting eagle, i see that it is a common thing. Thanks for the comments. mind correction
Correct. Spitting Eagle is a Die Clash. The quarter in question is just a well placed Die Crack that mimics the Spitting Eagle.. Funny
