my latest Vegas Riviera coin show pics report. I had so much fun. It was so nice meeting CT members Amanda, Charmy the penny lady, and Steve from my old coin shop here in St. George, Utah. I bought 15 world coins... the room next door had a pool competition going on. I watched maybe 1,000 people coming towards that room with their fancy black leather cue cases... onto the coins... German States/Bavaria 1857 thaler. my favorite coin I bought.
Germany 1966-G, 5 mark. I want to say proof but the dealer that sold it me swares it's a UNC grade. it sure looks like a proof to me. ??? I bought this coin for $25.00 and the Krause catalog lists it for $50.00. low mintage of only 3,070 sweet.
Germany Hamburg. 1923-J Notgeld. 1/2 million mark. Aluminum. BU grade. does anyone know the catalog number of a Notgeld catalog for this coin ? thanks.
Mexico 1919 20 centavos. gorgeous toning. the sun was going down at 4pm when my girlfriend took these pics so it is a little dark. she will take some new ones tomorrow on this coin when it is much brighter. the color on this coin pops. I mainly got this coin for its color toning.
German States/Baden 1871 #2 not my 2X2's. I will redo it with mine. I like to put all the coin info I can on them like the 2x2's above. gorgeous brown color.
Cuba 1915 40 centavos. an nice XF upgrade. he had $40 on it and I asked if he had any wiggle room ?... he went to $35.00 and I said sold! lol never hurts to ask for a lower price. this coin in higher grades get crazy expensive.
Love that 66G proof, always like the strong yet simple design on these. And that Cuban 40 cent is a very high end XF, $35 is a really good price
@Numismat yup that Cuban was a good price and a nice XF grade. I was happy. what do you think it's worth ?
Amanda and Charmy the penny lady are so charming in person too. it was an honor and pleasure meeting them.
