    Ancient ground asked me why I thought it was fake so I sent the other pics and said deja vu ?

    You want to be able to see and touch the coin and feel the age otherwise it's just a piece of metal with a pattern on it !

    The style doesn't match any Apollonia Pontika coins sold by major dealers. This doesn't mean it is fake. However, a strange-style specimen in a series that is widely faked should be checked carefully.

    Not that the halo of snakes are not sharp, but the teeth and the stubble of hair are very sharp. Unusual wear patterns should make you nervous.

    Also notice the color. It is not toned metal. It looks like flat black paint. This coloration is perfectly centered.
