I like all of them, but my favorites are the Lucius Verus, the Cunobelin, and the Augustus from Spain. A great group!
Wow, I got a few lists behind on the year end reviews and this was already bumped almost to page 3? I wish people would stop bumping their own non-year-end threads during our busy season. Everyone's list deserves some time in the first page sun . @Spaniard, I totally agree with your #1 pick! Fantastic coin. Wish I had that and your #2 coin in my collection. The Domitia provincial is also notable for its unusually good preservation. Hard to find nice provincials of her! The Macrianus is an enviable addition. Congrats on the good year
These are all wonderful coins @Spaniard ! My favorite is the #8 Lucius Verus because of the excellent portrait. I also like your #1 with the smith god reverse. I like how much variety you maintain in your collecting interests. I need to be better about pursuing the coins I’m interested in but know less about. Thanks for the list and the commentary. I enjoyed it. Here is a Lucius Verus and a Wang Mang
Thanks for all your comments...This is the general consensus.. #8 Verus .....10 #7 Domitia...10 #6 Macrianus..5 #5 Parthia ......2 #4 Celsa ........8 #2 Astarte......5 #1 Celtic........5 @Curtisimo.....Yes I do try to keep as wide a collecting area as possible, gives me good reason to buy more books. Lovely Lucius you have there and a great looking spade coin, hmmm an area I've not looked into yet!..Thanks for sharing.
What is the specific difference that separates your coin from the more common one? Mine seems to resemble this from zeno.ru https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=255939
Really nice and diverse collection for the year @Spaniard .. I collect mostly Asian coins particularly Chinese and East Asian. Your Wang Mang specimen is in really good condition. You are right about being careful of counterfeits but having a good reference book and many experience looking at the real ones can really make a difference..
