I came across these&nbsp; Souvenir Cards and I really wanted to have them to flesh out a nice little collection&nbsp; related to these particular notes. [See below for my original note and&nbsp; the upgrade acquired earlier.] </font></p><p><font size="2"><br /></font></p><p><font size="2">I love the additional history about these&nbsp; notes printed on the reverse of the cards. The face plate is bordered in a&nbsp; bright gold foil and the reverse plate has elegant gold foil letterpress type applied to the paper.&nbsp; The face plate has a large embossed figure of Liberty on the left&nbsp; margin. If you look closely you can see her details evident in the scan. </font></p><p><font size="2"><br /></font></p><p><font size="2">The notations are printed&nbsp; on the reverse of the cards and I&#039;ve shown them in full and in detail in my&nbsp; scans below. The Souvenir Card of the reverse is a curious layout for a Souvenir Card. It&nbsp; looks very precarious and feels unbalanced shifted to the edge. The design, or rather, the&nbsp; margin of the note, is literally on the edge of the card. I&nbsp; wonder if this wasn&#039;t an attempt at a security feature as some Souvenir&nbsp; Cards are cancelled to prevent use/fraud. I don&#039;t think this is an&nbsp; erroneously printed/trimmed card, but I suppose it could be.
