I am beginning to have a fair collection of ancients, mostly Greeks, as I think Greek coins are the most beautiful and creative coins ever produced. I'm trying to get the best coins I can afford from as many Greek Cities as I can, both Greece proper and the Greek colonies. I enjoy the learning the history of the coin almost as much as I enjoy the coin, almost. It has been my modus operandi to create a page of information about each location I aquire, as I do with my World Coin collection. I then keep the page with the coin in 3 ring binders. Now to the problem. I can find most of the locations at Wikipedia, others thru Google. I even have Grants' Guide to the Ancient World. But I still come across quite a few locations that I just can't find any information for. Such as "Phalanna, Thessaly", "Gergis, Troas", "Adramyteum, Mysia", for just a few examples. Doe any one know of a Reference book, or Web site where I might find more information on little know Greek communities? Any help will be greatly appreciated. JonySky
