While it was not a listing error, I did have the 'Sorry, I can't sell you this' happen to me within the last week. A WILDLY toned, silver Kennedy half, slabbed by one of the 'big two'. Paid a solid (read, BIG) premium for it, but it was definitely worth it, and could possibly have fetched more, given the toning craze. The seller refunded my payment 4 days after being paid, claims to have sold the coin more than a week before the listing was posted (no communication AT ALL from the seller, not one word, until he gave me his excuse as to why I wasn't getting it, and I sent a few messages to him with no response)! He was selling something that wasn't even in his possession (so he claims).......so, I guess I have to ask, what would the membership here do? I'm torn on what to do as far as feedback. He's not a BIG seller (perhaps 350-400 transactions), but there were MULTIPLE 'best offers', and NONE were acknowledged....ALL offers expired, telling me the seller didn't even bother checking his listing. What irks me is he listed it AFTER it left his possession, and listing something you don't own/have is a 'no-no'. Sooooo, what say you all? Do I whack this guy, or just let it go? It WOULD have been my first 'real' toner (this coin was just fabulously toned, and could possibly be the nicest toned Kennedy out there....I've seen numerous examples, and this just stifles every one I've seen). So, what do you all think I should do?? I don't like being the 'bad guy' (I have NO problem being one!), but I feel this was inexcusable, so HELP me make a decision!!! Thanks.
