All I can see Is wear
Who told you that? We want his head.........
Did that someone point out the doubling?
Did you buy the coin based on being told it was a DD?
Ummm... One of the Moderators
@Ikw - Can you get a better/clearer image of the date?
I still am leaning towards it being wear but a clearer image would help.
Some doubling can show up as wide letters, but alas, so does wear.
The "17 DDO is close to one of those types, I think your coin could be DDO,
but it's well passed it's expiration date on being able to discern.
No I found it crh.
It's actually not that hard to tell on heavily worn 1917 DDO, if you're looking at the right things in the right places.
Well then?? @ToughCOINS
The giveaways for me are the thickness of the upright in the second T in TRUST and the top of the 9.
I think the doubling on a 1917 is at the date. Is that what you think your seeing. I really can't see your pictures.
They were wrong
Those 1917 DD ones in lower grades can be difficult to attribute. I have a graded one in a low grade and the doubling does not stand out. Don't discount it prematurely.
I'm way interested. Can you please send new picture of date and all obverse lettering. I wanna learn too.
Agree. From those pix...too much wear to be sure...Spark
Someone told me this was a ddo
its not a double die lots of wear
