Hey, I think it's a pretty convenient feature! If you don't like the MS62 half currently in there, you can remove it and put another half in its place! How could anything bad happen...
PCGS has pics of the original coin, no? If you sent that back to PCGS, how would YOU seal it like they were supposed to?
Not going to buy any coins in the new PCGS slabs, it's like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get
Nope, but probably because I have not contacted them .I doubt they would seek me out. I will when I get some time & another submission package to send in next week. I'm assuming they will chalk it up to mechanical error .
It seems like they'd have some sort of quality control in place to catch this. Maybe these just slipped through. Something to check the next time I get coins holdered by them.
I guess that means you aren't going to buy and coins in older PCGS or NGC slabs either. This ISN'T the first time this has happened. The same thing has occurred with the older slabs from all the companies. It is very uncommon but it does happen. Yes It needs to be brought to PCGS's attention, but it really isn't a big deal unless evidence come forward that it is a continuing problem and becoming commonplace.
Wow, this is incredible, thank you. Just got a PCGS submission back, now I have to check it. Nice video, too.
I double-checked my most recent receipt and it came back just fine. The tap test yielded no insecurities in the holder. Which I really like, actually! I think they're neat! And it should be tougher to counterfeit going forward, so that's good. Actually, I'm very gratified with the result of the submission, I'll try to come up with some time to share the story of my little coin sometime this week. : ) Anyway, thank you again for the video and alert! Great information to know.
