Great finds if so
@galba68!...Lovely detail on the bead
@paddyman98 even betternice finds,if only he could actually get some gold.
Very good questionhmmm.
Donna, this part of Europe where I live has witnessed a fierce struggle between the Ottoman Empire and the Hasburg monarchy for about 300 years..Both sides had large numbers of mercenaries from all over Europe.I often find coins from that period, coming from England, France, Italy..etc..Sometimes, on the same field,you can find mixed coins and artefacts from Turkey, Russia, Holland for example..But, all golden coins which I found at this field,were bent for some reason..
Thanks for the explanation! Fascinating.
Some good finds in 2021..
As always, you don't disappoint. I am still amazed at your "finds"! Some of them go beyond "amazed"! Keep up the good work, my friend. I'll keep wiping the drool off my chin, lol. Not because I'm jealous, but because I'm "amazed"!
Donna it is not actually from Spain but from the:
Spanish Netherlands, and is a copy made at the time of Philip II 1556-98, and is a Ducat
