Spencer Churchill 1876-1964, cousin to Sir Winston Churchill, He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901 as captain in the Grenadier Guards, and in the First World War where he was wounded twice and awarded the Military Cross and the French Croix de Guerre avec palmes. He bought the coin in the Mario Ratto 1932 E.H.
