Many examples of this series are overweight i.e. exceeding a 324 gram Roman pound; this is 305 grams but a fairly large chunk was lost separating it from the mould. The evidence of overweight examples of this series shows once more that the Romans didn&#039;t care much about the exact value or weight of bronze.
