well, the 2006 20 year set of silver eagles topped out at around $600, then fell to $300. Granted that is still 3X what it cost, but...

Yes I suppose it has my friend :)
Hitting the books in numismatics and in school certainly helps in doing anything really. :D
Without Cointalk, I wouldn't know half the stuff that I do, and probably wouldn't have the coins that I do. :)
Like I said before, just gotta be happy with what you got... And I certainly am. :thumb:

I've been reading and thinking that I may sell but after receiving my set yesterday. I will not sell unless I can make a minimum of $250 profit!! The set is gorgeous!! :eek:hya:

Obviously I don't care if the price falls flat or not, I will sell no wine till it's time!! :D And there may not be a time for me!

I sold my set for $155 on eBay BIN.

It is a nice looking set.

Congrats! I'm guessing that maybe once all the $120 range sets disappear from eBay and secondary market sellers, more will be going in your range and beyond by end of year / holiday season.

Sold a set on Ebay for a little over $138. After all is said and done I made around $50 profit and got my other set for free. I'll hold onto that one.

There have always been, and always will be, those that feel rules do not apply to them. After all, all people are created equal, its just that some are created more equal.

Rule is, one per household... not: YOU MAY ONLY OWN ONE SET OF THESE! Funny to me how the mint tells us months in advance when they will be out, yet some still complain as if they didn't have the same 30 hours as everyone else. pay 160$ and be glad someone is willing to flip their more crappy set so that you may even have one!

I have left one of my sets unopened. I'm waiting for Christmas.

Oh that’s just plain mean. I almost didn’t get one because the mint’s website took a dump. An hour and 39 minutes of headache before I was able to order mine. :headbang:

It took me about the same to order mine. Well worth the wait though. the Dollar is a pf70 for sure 100%. FROSTY as could be :p extra worth it because I got it for free due to selling my other one for 160$ to some poor old chap on ebay.

Just sold my extra for $134.50. After shipping and fees, I'll make about $55 or so, which means the set I'm keeping, I got essentially free. I'm pleased.

The 1950-D nickels come to mind. And more recently, the LN1 cents which were selling for $300 and up for a $25 box of dark-spotted cents.

Well I'm glad you learned something off this forum as that is what it's all about. Next time a limited edition of certain coins pop up maybe you'll be ready. If I would have thought of it, I would have had some friends order me more and give em' a $20 or something. It's called the American way!! Or capitalism either way, you may want to get used to it.

Sold an LN6/$140s. Will wait to let loose the other near the holidays, but I'll reassess later as I may keep that set. Also got in 5 x 4 pc. Lincoln Cent Proofs from the Mint. They look nice.
