I bought them directly from Vatican City for $26.98 in 2001.

It looks like there are a few unc 2000 Jubilee sets available on ebay for BINs of US$150 or less; several recent sales under 150 (some under 100). But maybe there's something unique about this set that makes it worth more?

Wow, this whole thread is right weird, very unusual for CT. Perhaps one of the CT Gods will make it all go away? Meanwhile, let's see if I can post a pic of a recent purchase on here as well. I am quite into the VOC coins.

Very close to tripling your money.

For comparison, in 2001, silver was around $5 an ounce, and gold ranged from $260 to $290.

    So, yay, I guess?

Not sure why this thread was started or why it has kept going so long, but I do like the OP's set. Nice coins honoring a person who I admire very much.

try and relax. personal attacks wont be good for you on here. they already warned you once. just relax and let it cool off. next time just post more details with your coins. you will get a lot better responses.
