You mean the story about these gold ATM's first showed up over a year ago, actually a year to the date on May 20th 2009 when they were last in the media spotlight.

Are you suggesting you saw reports that they actually employed these ATM somewhere else a year ago? They were supposed to be in Germany, Switzerland and Austria but I never saw any links or videos to their actual deployment. The same firm that announced them last year are behind their recent unveiling in Adu Dhabi.

If you read my thread linked to earlier in this thread about the same story Gold ATM, you will see that I cited articles and made mention of these gold vending machines appearing in 2009 media reports. I am pretty sure this is the first 'pubic' incarnation of the gold vending machine.
