I'm going to try, I do have space for it in my Dansco Proof ASE Page 5.jpg page 5. Then I can start a new page next year.

I see that completed presales on eBay have been mostly in the $400-600 range for this, with some higher. That will probably drop once people get them in-hand, but I still expect the flippers will buy this out in minutes if not seconds.

I guess I'm missing something here. Where did the 2009 Proof Finish come from? Never mind I see that it is not a genuine coin Mint Issue.

I really, really don't want to derail the thread, but it is a genuine Mint-issue coin, just one that's been overstruck/altered/defaced (pick your preference).

Well, what I meant to say was that it wasn't issued as a proof and with the features it has.

Probably - I have stopped purchasing alot from them. I got the pride of two nations set - and probably this one coin will be all this year.

For many years I purchased large quantities from the US Mint. I collected everything (Mint Sets, Proof Sets, Silver Proof Sets, all the Commemoratives, etc.). I haven't bought anything this year except the 3 piece parks sets. Just keeping that set up until it ends.

I only bought the sets to get the so-called free Cents. It was the only way to get them and it was easy.

Thanks for the reminder. I did the same and I needed some for the great grandchildren type sets I was making.

Just finished updating my account with mint.gov and tested the checkout process, and I have a reminder on my outlook calendar to go off at 11:50am.

I'm considering getting it graded, some people are comparing this to the 1995 W proof and seem to think PF70 pieces will sell north of $5k in a few years. Whatever the case, flipping one should help me fill out a couple of spots in my 7070 album.

Was just looking at eBay listings for pre-sales of this coin. There are several sold listings over $2k for Proof 70 coins. Any idea how the logistics of this works? The seller has to get his hands on several of these and then submit them for grading, and hope he gets at least as many Proof 70's back as he has pre-sold?

Beats me, maybe it's someone related to Mike Mezack.
