Currently I own about 640 coins but at one point had owned over 3500. Right now I like to buy coins that appeal to me and that I can incorporate into seminars on ancient coins which I try to conduct both here in Alberta and in Saskatchewan. Experience has taught me that bringing too many coins simply&nbsp; overwhelms the audience as well as creating a logistical nightmare so I try to keep the numbers within reason. Thus my collecting focus is more towards coins that I deem to be important rather than&nbsp; coins that are simply a rare variety. Oddly enough I am currently on the hunt for what should be three relatively common inexpensive coins but have not been able to find ones that I like.</p><p>&nbsp; I do like to travel and I have been to a number of coin shows in Canada the U.S. and Europe. My biggest problem is that I am trying to wean myself from simply travelling to a show just to buy coins into one where I go and look around to see the sites and then buy some coins.
