    The Beijing Mint was producing “silver” Eagles before WW1- even before Weinman thought up the Walking Liberty design!

    Check for the mint mark on the reverse.
    S= Shanghai
    B= Beijing

    Those are not the only examples. A collector gave these to me for educational purposes. I wonder if the Chinese made an early 20th century date set?

    I used to see the "1906 ASE" all over the place. I think I remember seeing 1909 as well.

    Obviously there was a couple dropped numbers at some point and another couple numbers dropped on those.

    real rare us mint errors for shurrrrrrrr........

    How do you know that they "walked in"?

    They could have been dropped from a balloon.
