I just informed another seller that his 1799 Large Cent is a 1798 S-187. The obverse is worn beyond identification, but the reverse is well known as The Fallen Berry. It is almost unique across all Draped Bust reverses with the berry left of O(N) FALLING below the stem. The almost is because of the 1801 NC-5 always seen with a huge CUD also has this "Fallen Berry," but is only visible on the highest grade specimens.

Anyway, we'll see how he reacts. I suspect a newby who doesn't know any better with a low post count, though that has happened with some who knowingly prey on the inexperienced and have earned account bans already. They just create new accounts.

I just checked and the fallen berry on the 1801 NC-5 may be visible on three of the four known specimens. Two of the three in FR appear to have it visible and the third is not photographed. The fourth in BS-1 was sold on Heritage and it is not visible.
