no the 008. it's weird though because originally it didn't say "best of".... for a long time. he must have changed it semi recently

Wexler's showing all three- the 004, 005, and your 008 as "best of".

that's even weirder. before it was the 004 and the next one was the 022. which I found odd because the 008 was similar to the 022 to some degree. but then I figured it was that the doubled pump extended further. I had actually thought to message him and ask why but decided the HE would know best what belongs on HIS list so I never did. I didn't notice the 008 made it until today when I went to see what varieties I had submitted. if the OP never came I never would have known lol

I have 3 more I submitted to Wexler last week so I hope to see if they are listed in another week or so. I have stopped searching boxes of quarters at the moment...don't want to flood my bank with opened rolls, although the money manager is very accommodating. Must be the homemade zucchini bread I bring them so they can pork out all day.

And I use a 10x loop to look for the DDRs and other die clashes/cracks. It is a slow process but I usually only find 1-4 Homesteads a roll, sometimes none. Mostly 1 or 2. Seeing more Blue Ridge here in NC now and many, many of them have a huge die clash/crack in the leaves on the reverse.

find a bank or banks that have coin machines. open an account for the minimum (usually like $5) do one dump and grab per location. i do 8 boxes a week. going to at least 6 different locations, which is 3 different banks/credit unions over a 3 town/city radius. i don't go out of my way as that would be a waste of gas, but if i have business close i try to grab.

    A WDDR-004 NGC MS67 just sold for $335.

Only 7 of them have made the NGC 67.

I got another listing with Wexler, 098 and then he tells me one of my other ones was an 099 which was someone after me. Say what???? You mean to tell me he doesn't take them in order from the envelopes and jumps around? Seems my other one should have been 099 before the next guy. Oh, well, maybe it's time to get another box or two of quarters and go through them to see if I can find any new ones.

I agree--finding varieties like this are a lot of fun. I found the currently oldest trail-dies coin. It's just fun and interesting--not that it's some valuable rarity. Congrats on those quarter DDOs--I like them. :D
