Oxidize means that it will react in a way to chemically react with a compound. Like gasoline reacts with oxygen to create water, CO2 and uncombusted residues. Acetone has an oxygen that has a double-bond attaching it to a carbon atom. This double-bond can be easily broken, which makes acetone able to react with certain chemicals. Reactive means that something is able to chemically bond with and exchange atoms with another chemical. Inert means that it will not react. Chloroform will not burn, so it is inert to oxidation.

Well still not sure what I'm gonna do with it. May just leave it in the slab and throw it back in the drawer I had it stuck in. Lol
