This little coin was offered free to me after purchasing a small lot last week. I took it, of course, and then weigh it to find out it's over 6 g. exactly 6.07 g. Dimension is 17 mm. The coin is still in its raw condition despite the charming clear eagle on reverse. I could easily read Basileus on right field, suggesting it's Seleucid. Still I don't know if it could be Ptolemaic, to be more precise. The obverse is still considerably covered with natural or original ancient sand. I 'm not very sure there is Zeus there, but it's quite usual. Thanks for your comments.
Ptolemaic. For attribution help, go here: http://ptolemybronze.com/ptolemy_series.html Attributing Ptolemaic bronzes can be difficult.
After obtaining a digital photo of the reverse, as well as 2 other better scans of the cleaned OP coin, I made sure there's something like a bow in the middle of outer left field. That's to the left of the club. It almost touches the edge. Here are the 3 images obtained. It's to note that only 2 examples of this Hemiobol are known to exist.
The D-shaped stuff looks like deposits or something of that nature. It wouldn't be a device because it covers part of the legend.
