Slabbing Moderns?

I'm not a slab guy but like nice coins. I like to determine their authenticity and grade as part of the fun of the hobby. Although I've never sent in a coin for slabbing, I have purchased them at auction for the price of a unslabbed coin. I sometimes snicker when I hear someone say that they're buying a slabbed coin because of all the Chinese fakes. Apparently, the Chinese can fake the coin but not the plastic. Where do all those plastic toys come from again?
