<p>
First, it depends on the coin, imo, the slab isn't large compared to a dollar coin (Trade, Peace ect). So the smaller coins are put in the same size slabs, just to keep the slabs the same size. Imo it would be much more annoying to have 10 different slab sizes for every coin size. As for the color/design of the slab, NGC has used different labels for certain coins, I believe the latest one was the Lincoln comm label. PCGS (I believe) also put the state flags on the label for the state quarters (though I'm not sure if it cost extra).</p><p><br /></p><p>*Here are some examples:<a href="http://www.kpmcoins.com/images/01905670.JPG" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.kpmcoins.com/images/01905670.JPG" rel="nofollow">Lincoln Comm</a> <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-20-1oz-Gold-High-Relief-Double-Eagle-NGC-MS-70_W0QQitemZ170405968370QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_Bullion?hash=item27acfcb9f2" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-20-1oz-Gold-High-Relief-Double-Eagle-NGC-MS-70_W0QQitemZ170405968370QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_Bullion?hash=item27acfcb9f2" rel="nofollow">NGC 2009 UHR</a> <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-20-ULTRA-HIGH-RELIEF-GOLD-DOUBLE-EAGLE-PCGS-MS70_W0QQitemZ280420556606QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_US_Individual?hash=item414a5e1f3e" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://cgi.ebay.com/2009-20-ULTRA-HIGH-RELIEF-GOLD-DOUBLE-EAGLE-PCGS-MS70_W0QQitemZ280420556606QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCoins_US_Individual?hash=item414a5e1f3e" rel="nofollow">PCGS UHR</a> <a href="http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=state+quarter+pcgs" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=state+quarter+pcgs" rel="nofollow">PCGS State quarters</a>
</p><p><br /></p>
