Skull Coin I carved out of a pure Titanium coin

    Its a hard metal to work with! It was fun to engrave though. I had to smooth the part by the nose (in the photo its not smoothed) - I had to use a machinist stone which really did a great job.

    I think its more of a token- its made by the space center of titanium that's been in space. Not a lot of titanium coins to choose from. This is the biggest one I found- its larger then a Morgan dollar.

    Well, he IS dead. Killed in a Mig-15 trainer crash in 1968.

    I do a lot of space themes for the coins I carve. I am doing an Alien from the 1986 movie next. After that its Star Wars hobo nickels.
