When I was a wee li'l one, my father owned a commercial film processing lab. We served a network of about 100 dealers, mostly pharmacies and neighborhood corner stores. Our earliest delivery vehicles were Isettas, and I would ride along and retrieve the correct bags for the next delivery. I was 6 or 7. 1961-62. Later we used Renaults, then Hondas. By the time Hurricane Agnes hit in 1972, I had become the driver. During Agnes, I stepped out of the Renault into water up to the floorboards. She never skipped a beat until years later when she was crushed between a curb and a "right turn from the left lane" 18-wheeler.
I know a 6'11" guy, the LAST guy taken in the 1984 NBA draft by the Sixers, who drives a Cooper Mini.
I've heard those mini's have decent leg room somehow. The Isetta though, how would I even shut the "door" lol
I think Pete might drive from the back seat. How would you shut the door in an Isetta? Pull the steering wheel toward you. Pete was famous for one other thing - the first time Moses Malone tried to dunk over Pete at training camp, Pete "rejected" the attempt. Malone became a fan.
No, this Pete was cut the last day of camp. His name was Peter Mullenberg. Played high school ball in Reading, PA and graduated from U. of Delaware. A Blue Hen. His actual mom was my Cub Scouts den mother when I was a kid.
