https://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/w...10001&storeId=10001&productId=13941&langId=-1 Is this price for real???? Or am I totally missing something.......I really dont know if you can buy a subscription and how easy is it to cancel it after you buy one or wether they change the price on you......... How much silver is in a 2010 silver proof set because with the way the price of silver is rising I might look at adding another set... https://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/w...10001&storeId=10001&productId=15252&langId=-1 Would this set be worth it considering the price of silver???? The problem for me is I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH SILVER OUNCES ARE IN THESE SETS......I think the mint should be forced to say how much is in them when they try to sell them..... THANK YOU!!!!
Silver http://www.coinflation.com/silver_coin_values.html Just an FYI for you. The 2011 Unc ASE has 1 troy ounce of silver. The sets, you will have to do some calculations to get a total silver content.
Read the disclaimer at the bottom of the eagle page: "Prices listed on the subscription Web page are current prices for the products included in your subscription. These prices may change during the course of your subscription. Should a change occur, the new price will be listed on your 30-day pre-fulfillment notification."
As of today the quarters silver proof set has 28.74 in silver. As far as subscriptions, if you subscribe today you will only get a 2011 set, not the 2010. That subscription for the silver eagle is an old one. They haven't minted any since '08 and it's doubtful they will do any this year. You can still subscribe to it however and if they do make any the price will definitely be higher. By about double.
A 2010 Silver Proof Set contains 90% Silver proof versions of the Kennedy Half Dollar (0.36169 ounces), the Roosevelt Dime (0.07234 ounces) and 5 America The Beautiful Quarters (0.18084 ounces each). This gives a total silver content of 1.33823 ounces of silver. Keep in mind there is an additional Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Native American Dollar, and Four Presidential Dollars or $5.06 face value....all regular proof coins though, I would not spend them. I used the silver content values published in the Red Book as my source. The 2010 Silver Quarter proof set is just the quarters....or .9042 ounces of silver.
Uncirculated Silver Eagles have been minted in EVERY year since 1986. The only year Proof Silver Eagles were not minted was 2009.
Bullion quality Silver Eagles have been produced every year and were available through the authorized dealer network. The US Mint is not legally authorized to sell bullion directly to the public. Uncirculated Silver Eagles which were made with a special finish and have a W mint mark were only made in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and these are the subscription coins...when and if the mint produces again.
