Fretboard, can you explain that statement in reference to the hockey pucks?

I agree...their shipping seemed high but not outrageous. Service was always top-notch though. Got the package in 3 days or so, well packaged. All soins and bars I got were nice and as advertised. GThey'd be the first place I'd go for bullion.

Their service is great but the price is not competitive.Check out gainsville coin or provident metals.

Ibought 2 oz of silver from them. One was a 2009 Silver Eagle Bullion and the other a $5 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf. BOth came to just over 80 dollars with shipping if i recall correctly. I had no issues with my coins other than the shabby plastic sleeve they come in. I guess it's industry standard, but I'd prefer them in a plastic protective capsule. I got a canadian 2011 Timber Wolf from a local coin shop, and I decided to compare the two. The coin shop version was in better shape than the one that came from apmex. as far as prices go, I got them both around 30.00 at that time.

I am new to the game, but looking to start investing and buying gold and silver coins/bars. I am personally leaning towards purchasing silver coins and have been joining several forums, and reading reviews. To be honest, most of the Apmex threads I have read tend to be negative, so it is refreshing to read through and see a different side of the Apmex experience.

I think I want to buy some Pandas and have been doing some price shopping. It looks like Apmex prices are a bit higher than Goldmart's prices.

Would appreciate thoughts/suggestions on a good silver investment to start with. As a newbie, any feedback is welcome. Again, interesting feedback on Apmex--I was ready to write them off completely, I guess we'll see.

I'm not really sure what you're talking about but I will say this. At one time, in the beginning I would have bought one of them hockey pucks but with the whole raising of prices that went on with various companies it pretty much took the wind out of my sails. In short, I haven't bought any yet and I don't plan on it either. They're nice looking and great for some collector's and collections. As for me, right now I'd rather have the ASE's. :thumb:
