    Maybe, but I'd want to see a series of weights for "normal" ASEs for comparison. I'm not sure I trust typical "home-grade" milligram scales to be accurate within 0.25%.

    I'm leaning toward the "heat-damaged and then cleaned" camp. The topography looks a bit like struck-through-grease, but the texture looks like massive damage.
