I didn't start buy ASE's until about 2008. I tried to collect all the ASE's from 2008, but I haven't kept up with my records. I did get the 2013 2 ASE's in a Set. I need to look it up to see what I have. All of my ASE purchases were through the Mint. I did get 3 1988 (P) ASEs from my father. I think he probably bought them from one of the coin shows or a magazine. That was about all he had of those. I did get 2 ASEs Proof T-1 and 5 T-2s. I got all but one of the T-2s from the Mint.
I've watched Rick on his TV show and the Coin Vault as well. They are selling the coins that they've had graded from NGC for almost triple what the Mint was charging. I did buy an ASE from Rick a while back which is the one that came with the Congratulation Set.

That's a nice set. Just curious of the source to buy a double 2021 ASEs. I saw on a TV coin shopping channel, that they are selling RAW ASEs that are MS70 for $350 a piece for the T1 or T2. I've only bought over a TV shopping channel one and a local coin business twice. Other than the coins I inherited from my father, I have bought strictly from the Mint. I know a lot of people are against that, but, everyone has their own opinion of the best source to buy their coins. I have bought from ebay, but I never paid more than $20 for a coin. I just filled in my set of silver FDR Dimes from ebay and those dimes are beautiful (but RAW). I am now working on silver quarters and silver Mercury dimes. It's more fun with those than from the Mint.
