    Are all the Bicentennial S mint quarters 40% silver? If not, how is it determined which ones are and are not 40% silver?

    No. They made clad S quarters which are lower mintage, 7 million
    and 40% silver S, 11 million.

    Is there a way to tell by looking at the quarter if it's 40% silver or not?
