Tough question. I think there is a market for signed PCGS slabs. I just don't know how big it is or what the premiums might be. I'm guessing the market would be fairly small.
I really want a Nolan Ryan signed slab. I saw one on GC in an ICG holder. It was the 1992 Olympic commemorative coin that the Mint swears wasn't a pic of him, but it was. I have seen some in PCGS slabs. There is one in ebay now for a stupid price. I just want the autograph.
I got a Mercanti signed slabbed ASE, because, looking real close, I could tell it was real and not autopenned.
The Daniel Carr graded by ANACS has his signature. I have a Buffalo Silver dollar wit Jay W. Johnson's signature but I don't know if its autopen or real I'll have to get it out and check it
About the only way you can be 100% positive is if you have another specimen to compare it with. As @green18 mentioned, these are the "real deal". Chris
If they are authenticated and not signed by auto-pen, then they would be worth a premium. However, there is no guideline for the amount of the premium. Whomever wants it the most, WINS! Chris
I took my loupe to examine the Mercanti signature on the PCGS MS-69 2013 ASE. It looked like real ink AND I compared with with other slabbed sigs. The sigs, when compared to each other, were different in the slant and spacing. The were the same sig, but with slight differences like one would expect.
