http://www.coinweek.com/bullion-rep...etermine-genuine-gold-silver-items-video-417/ http://www.sigmametalytics.com/purchase.html I'm not trying to sell this, just trying to bring it to your attention...
Too bad its more at a dealer pricepoint than a normal stacker pricepoint. If they had a smaller model around $199 I would buy one, and would honestly say it would be foolish for any pm investor not to own one. At this price point, I would say anyone buying pm off CL or other non-traditional sources would still be money ahead by owning this, even at the higher pricepoint. I still would like to see a few more types of fakes and how the machine would read them just to get comfortable with it.
Someone posted about this before a few months ago. it is just a luxury item. it costs $900 and it really is not worth it unless you are buying up massive quantities of gold and silver on a daily basis. Most people who stack bullion know how to tell whether it is real or fake. At least I hope so. Otherwise some of you guys might have a safe full of tungsten
Here's a discussion with a couple guys that have one. Yes, one of them is the guy that made the video. http://www.bullionstacker.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18730
Well, the dealer stated $720 on the video. I said it was priced more for a dealer, but how many fakes would it take to pay for itself? One half ounce gold? A group of fake pandas or ASE's? The fakes are getting better, and any dealer or stacker who buys off of CL or similar I would say should be considering this machine. I tried to read your link Peace but it says I need to be registered. I am thinking based upon my reputation here the bullionstacker forum would simply assume I am a plant and immediately ignore what I say anyways.
Nah, they'll let you on, you can even drop my sn if you want. I'm surprised as I thought that was a public part of the forum.
I think this would only be practical if you were able to test the PM before you buy it (like at a coin show). Otherwise, if you are buying off the internet, you already own it by the time you realize its fake. Good luck getting your money back.
$700-900 for that gadget? What happened to the good old fashion "Biting the Coin method...it works. And you can verify any gold or silver coin right on the spot.
