I think you would be competing with the Tyrant collector who would spend over 1M on it. Plus all the other big shots.....
What do you think about this ducat?: https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/dt...________1596__gold_ducat/2037913/Default.aspx
Those are quite common. These are really AV Zecchini. There are also AV Ruspones (3 Zecchini) too from Grand Dukes of Tuscany.
uo These have really gone up a price! I bought an FDC one in 2002 for $145US. I bought this 1933 Dukat as unsold lot from Maison Polambo Auction for starting bid 340 E + fees in 2016. It was graded NGC MS-64 These now sell for 4K+
Duchy of Milan Gold Ducat of Filippo Maria Visconti (minted in Milan sometime between 1412 and 1447):
nice pickup! Now both of Us have AV Ducatos from this Duke. I got mine as unsold lot from MDC/ Monaco in spl/fdc for 3K euros.
Even better! Milanese coins are nice/ most Italian States are/ same for German States/ Swiss Kantons/ Holy Roman Empire/ Croatia would fall onto that category/ until 1919 when stupid Versailles revenge Treaty made it part of Serbia who started WW1
