PCGS said 65+ and CAC gave it a green bean.

Was it previously yours or were you bidding on it as well?

    What's a green bean?

CAC (Certified Acceptance Corp.) is an independent grading company founded by John Albanese that verifies PCGS and NGC certified coins as being solid for the upper end of the assigned grade when a green label (bean) is awarded.

Here's a raw 79-S VAM-16a I picked up this year as well. The obverse is borderline PL and the reverse is clearly not.

I like to think that if I grade conservatively there is less likelihood of me over-paying for any given coin. :)

I am starting to do that with the smaller group of TPGers out there. If they got a MS64 and it really is ? then bid like 62/63 and do not budge from that bid with emotions .

I totally agree with that approach....MS64 Morgans at the high end are the best at the most affordable prices. The jump between a nice 64 and a bottom end 65 is tremendous for many dates. Getting the 64s at 63 prices is a very attainable goal, with a little patience.

I agree. The obverse is far too baggy for more than a 62, or possibly a low grade 63 at most.
