Border not visible.</p><p><br /></p><p>The "Sun in Leo" is probably the most common of the Zodiac series from Alexandria but difficult to locate in nice condition.</p><p><br /></p><p>It has been thought for some time that the Zodiac or Astrological series minted in Alexandria in Pius' regnal Year 8 (AD 144/5) was inspired by or related to the commencement of a new "Sothic Cycle" which occurred in AD 139.
