My SLQ collection got me started - and my first posting and the reason I joined CoinTalk after years of lurking as a Guest, was when I found my 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter and had it graded / authenticated which was very exciting for me, but I'd say these are three of my current fascinations that I'd like to share - two of which are NGC body bagged (and thus I could afford them, lol) - a 3 cent 1837 Feuchtwanger with the NY Coat of Arms (I think the figures look like space aliens!) and altered surfaces, and a Henry VI of England gold 1/4 Noble coin from 1422-61 that was holed and then pulled off the chain and NGC has designated "too fragile to holder" finishing the trio is my 1 cent 1837 Feuchtwanger that PCGS has graded XF45. I think these are really fascinating bits of history. Sorry about my picture quality on the Noble. I'm still working on closeups.
My lil bit of "treasure" from the 1715 treasure fleet A Daniel Carr "cob" made with silver recovered from the wreck of the Atocha There are 3 others he made as well I want to get...
I've been enamored of late by a few early 19th century European commemorative medals and tokens. The hand carved dies look is simply amazing. Z
This one is a bit rare. Snow S1. DDO on LIBERT. Misaligned clashed die on reverse. Rim and denticles show through E in ONE.
Here is a Robert McNamara piece from his work with Heraldic arts. One of his scarcest pieces from information I have found. 19.6 grams of .925 silver, 32mm. Ponce inlet lighthouse. Club is no longer functional.
