Many of these collections are really amazing. It's interesting seeing them in groups rather than one at a time, although that is fine too. FWIW I am posting mine again and taking the time to say a little more about it. This is all but one each of the gold coins issued by the four US mint branches in 1840. The most common of these 8 coins is estimated to have 187 surviving in all grades. Several have perhaps less than 100. The only one not there is the Dahlonega quarter eagle. The first one I obtained was the 1840 Eagle and most recent is the Charlotte quarter eagle. It has taken me 10 years to assemble them - I got interested in 1840 coins because so many are first year of issue, there is a limited number of issues in 1840 compared to later dates, they are far less expensive than earlier mintage - and it's nice have coins of different denominations. I've had a lot of fun looking for good examples that I could afford and learning about them in excruciating detail - not many folks outside of this newsgroup would have much interest in it. haha. Thanks
