Well, maybe it was just me wishing that they were mine They actually belonged to the father of a friend and I inventoried them for him. It was nice to be able to hold them and kind of sad to have to give them back. Jason
LOL! I hear that -- Hubby recently informed my that I must cut down on my coin purchases so we can save money for a slab. He's right - so I guess I am going to be inventorying, trading and maybe some selling, and studying. One thing I will miss is the adrenalin rush you get when you snipe a good deal on eBay! I like to make events out of my snipes and really enjoy the experience almost as much as the coin itself - if not more. Going to miss that for awhile. Maybe I will just find some 99 cent items if I really need a fix. Those are some beautiful gold coins. Maybe someday I will collect gold, but right now it's silver for me.
Love, love, love your collection of charlotte gold! And of course these $5 gold pieces as well. How long has it taken you to acquire all these beautiful pieces?

Considering I purchased my first early gold coin (1805 Draped Bust $5) in 2005, it's been a slow, steady work in progress.
