Here's what I think you should do. Is you say enoughs enough and want to stop. SAVE as much money as you can for one year with out spending it on anything you dont NEED. Buy a nice sized gold coin in a au or higher grade. Put it away with your other coins, and if you want to stop collecting after that. Go ahead. Your gonna be 14 by the time you buy that coin. Your then have 4 year until your 18 and life takes on some great changes. Im not saying stop collecting all together but if your thinking about stopping, go out with bang! After all Im almost sure you'll be back into coin collecting when your older as MANY people stop collecting in there teens and end up coming back into it when they are in there mid to late 20s. At least YOU will have a goldie that by the time you start collecting again will more then likly be worth more if not MUCH more then when you bought it, and at least you didnt blow your money on stuff that will have no impact on your life when your older. Take it from a lot of us. We all wished we bought gold when we where 14. All you need to do Is pick a gold coin out as a TARGET. save all the money you can and get it. Beleive it or not, At 13 you can find alot of ways to make some good money for you age. I used to dig out drive ways in the winter and collect cans and bottles in the spring and summer and do ANY OD JOB I COULD FIND to make money. I worked a summer job at 14 as well. I made $3,000.00 dollars at 14 between everything I could do and buying NOTHING I DIDNT NEED. I spent half of that on clouths for the next school year and the other half on coins. Granted i was affraid to buy gold at the time becuase i wanted more coins the just one. But if I the one gold coin i should have it would be worth 4 times what I spent for it then. Im sorta kicking my self for not thinking about it then. but I was 14 and no one told me like im telling you. Good luck and remember your 13 by 14 you could have yourslef a very nice 1 oz gold coin. not just a bunch of common old pocket change or prrof sets. Then take a break from the hobby. Go fishing hang out with friends get a girl and grow older until the day you return to coin collecting. Becuase I bet a 1908 $20 dollar Saint Gordain you will be back.
