Should I consider my pre-1964 silver coins junk?

I’ve posted a few photos recently of junk silver that I’ve found in those bags I bought years ago and never opened. A few semi-key dates, harder to find dates and some outstanding BU and proof coins. You won’t find those types of coins in today’s junk silver.

Personally, I wouldn't toss any common date silver coin that grades high AU or better in a junk bin. However, I would keep them for their bullion value. I think I have well over 100 modern commemorative silver dollars in proof and mint state that bought as bullion. I was buying them from a local dealer for between $14 and $18. I left them in their capsules and stored them in a box and a few mason jars.

All I find are from my dad’s coins I’m slowly going through. I’m saving for my son.
